Superb little agate lotus design brush washer. Hand carved and polished natural color stone, it has russet/orange skin in the areas carved with curling edges and the design is complete with an incised center area and fully worked underside showing stems, pods, leaves and flowers. The surface polish is first rate and this is a very desirable piece. Includes original fitted hardwood stand. Dates late Qing to early Republic. Brusher measures 3.75" x 3". 19/20th C, finely rendered Chinese Shiwan (Shekwan) pottery statue of a seated man holding a bamboo pipe traditionally used for tobacco. Some nice crazing in the high gloss glazes on his shirt and pipe. This is a very good piece with excellent detailing, you won’t be disappointed. Measues 5.75” across, 7.5 deep, 6” high

A 'famille-rose' porcelain figure of a Chinese revolutionary young woman. Standing on a gray base wearing a pink t-shirt and yellow shorts, a picnic basket slung across her body, and a sun hat hanging down her back inscribed with one of the revolutionary slogans: 'Wéi rénmín fúwù' which translates as 'Serve the People'. Dates Mid 20th century, circa 1966-1970. Base has maker's stamp. Measures 12.75" high

Circa 1790-1820, English underglaze blue pearlware bowl with exaggerated Chinese style figures. Hand painted and in excellent antique condition, it measures 5 1/8” diameter x 2.75” high.

Chinese hongmu hardwood table-top curio display shelf of very fine quality. This wonderful piece has carved and pierced trim and case work, much like the large antique etageres, having a pair of doors and a small drawer with raised panels. A fine example of First Period, Dr. John Wall, Worcester botanical fluted porcelain bowl having a blue rim decorated with gold. Mark on bottom with Sotheby’s sticker. This bowl is a rare survivor of this early period and is in excellent condition. Circa 1755-1774. Measures 6.5" diameter, 3" high.
