Painted Oval Wooden Box with Domed Lid and Feet stock #JHTurleBox
An interesting American painted wooden box with a domed lid and four feet. The color is a dark eggplant black (black with a slight purple hue) with split rattan bands painted yellow. The interior of the lid is painted yellow, teal green, and off white. The same color palate and pattern is repeated on inside bottom and outside bottom. This sturdy box is in excellent condition, measuring 13" long, 7" high. It has a great look and based on the round head nails securing the rattan, the piece dates early 20th C.
