An unused Chinese civil 5th rank silver pheasant (baixian) badge in original paper wrapping. Background is black silk with a border of bats and the “shou” character. Eight Buddhist symbols are featured with the endless knot having been created using the forbidden stitch. Made for the front of a woman's surcoat, this rank badge is in excellent condition, measures 12", and dates late 19th century.

Rare antique Chinese court official's rank badge with an bird standing on a rock. The background is black silk and embroidered with very fine silver foil wrapped over silk threads that are tacked into position with gold silk thread, a technique known as couching. This is some of the finest most delicate couching I have seen. This color combination give the silver couching a slightly golden tint but with silver being dominant color. A large Chinese bonbon dish made by Wang Hing. Made of mother of pearl shell with silver bamboo legs in tripod form, it is surprising sturdy. Marked Wang Hing on one of the bottom legs, it is in excellent condition and measures 5 inches high. Across, the shell measures 8.75' at its longest point and 7" at its shortest distance.
A tapered porcelain snuff bottle featuring a darling scene of 5 Chinese boys at play in which one child can be seen pulling an animal pull toy. Decorated in famille rose enamels the bottle comes with its original cap and bone spoon. The cap is green jade, and red glass the color of red coral. There are two opposing chips on the red section. Cannot tell if that was in the manufacture or not. The snuff bottle is in excellent condition, no cracks, no hairlines, no chips...
